Risk Management
At Anchored, risk management is not a department. It is a discipline embedded in every stage of our process — from initial deal screening through loan origination, active monitoring, and ultimate resolution.
Alignment
First Lien Position Every loan we originate is secured by a first lien on the underlying real property. We do not take subordinate positions. Our capital sits at the top of the capital stack on every transaction.
Loan-to-Value Discipline We structure every loan with a clear margin of safety between the loan amount and the asset’s current value. That margin is our first line of defense against market volatility and execution risk.
Active Portfolio Monitoring We do not fund a deal and move on. Our team monitors every active loan in the portfolio — tracking construction progress, market conditions, and sponsor execution against the original plan. When conditions change, we respond early.
Exit Strategy Verification Before we fund any transaction, we stress-test the exit. We evaluate multiple exit scenarios — sale, refinance, or hold — and structure our loans to perform across all of them.
